Character Assignations

Have you ever wondered what would happen if Buffy met Edward and the Cullens? What about Adam Hauptman would think of Jacob Black and his shifters? Would Bella and Elena have a lot to say to each other? What would Lt. Eve Dallas make of Sgt. Murphy? If so, then you are going to love today’s game – I call it Character Assignations. What characters from what series would you like to see interact? I am going to share my top five. Feel free to chime in with your ideas! Sunday Snips and Clips: Emmys, Ritas and More

Dr Horrible wins Emmy for Short-format Live-Action Special Class. Nathan Fillion was tweeting away and posting pics like this one to the right. Always a fun thing to see for the fans! I have to confess, I’ve never actually seen Dr. Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog. I’ve heard tremendous things about it, but it’s just never been my cup of tea. Now, being a fan of Mr. Fillion and Mr. Whedon, I shall surely check this out at some point. I rather hope after looking at the picture to the right that Mr. Fillion gets another Emmy someday. He’s such a talented […]

In Depth with Thomas E. Sniegoski

Thomas E. Sniegoski is an author I’ve mentioned here at the Daily Dose more than a few times. He is the creative force behind one of my favorite new series: The Remy Chandler novels. We’ve been emailing back and forth for the last couple of weeks and I’ve enjoyed my interactions with the mind behind Remy Chandler. I hope you enjoy getting to know him too. According to […]

Because they rebelled against their nature and their design. In most cases of fiction regarding angels and demons, the concept of free will and self-determination is an entirely human trait denied to angels. Angels were first, imbued by […]

Angels, Demons and John Constantine

In 1985, John Constantine appeared in an issue of Swamp Thing. His arrival was ignominous. He was an advisor in areas of the supernatural for the Swamp Thing. His questionable morality was firmly in place and he looked an awful lot like Sting which was intentional. For the young impressionable 13 year old mind, he was terribly fascinating. DC Comics began publishing Hellblazer in 1988. John Constantine enjoyed the notoriety of the starring role. When Vertigo comics, a DC comics brand launched in 1993, John Constantine was rolled over as a Vertigo publication. John’s questionable morality remained in place. He […]
