Literary cops are an enticing breed! Two years ago when Castle debuted, I took one look at the then very shorthaired Stana Katic (actress who portrays Kate Beckett on Castle) and thought Eve Dallas! She was long-legged, rangy, tough and didn’t put up with bull. As all my readers know, I am thoroughly devoted to the ABC series Castle. And why wouldn’t I? Castle follows best-selling novelist Richard Castle as he uses his connections to partner with Detective Kate Beckett of the NYPD. He wants to follow her around in order to base his new character on her. We’ve watched their relationship evolve from cautious and wary to true friendship.
