Show & Tell: A Galactic Holiday Anthology

Three Galactic Holidays of the Future Celebrating the holidays is a very ancient tradition. The Romans celebrated Saturnalia, the festival of light, in late December and gave each other gifts. The Germanic peoples of Northern Europe celebrated Yule and burned the Yule log to welcome back the light. The ancient Slavic ritual of Koleda was a celebration of death and rebirth. And of course Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Christ. I wonder if our ancestors could have imagined how we celebrate the holidays nowadays. A 100 foot high Christmas tree in Rockefeller Plaza, New York. Amazing lights […]

Virginia Nelson: Comic Book Hypnotism

First off, I want to thank Heather for having me on the blog to talk about comic book characters.  I mean, what a cool topic, right??? There have been many cases of hypnotists throughout comic book history.  From the Mad Hatter who had the ability to just put a hat on and control you—as the mother of teens, I would kill for one of those hats—to the Enchantress who used her powers to molest Thor—hello, Thorgasm—the idea that someone could pick your brain and make you do things you didn’t want to has fascinated far more creative folks than me. Chocolate and Sex with Guest Blogger Virginia Nelson

Heather, first off, I want to say thanks for having me on the blog today.  Secondly, I want to thank you for inspiring one of the sexier scenes in my new release with Decadent Publishing, Taking Control. When I sat down and wanted to write a 1Night Stand story, I had tons of ideas.  Tons.  I wanted to take the reality TV idea and blend it into a sexy story of what happens after the show ends.  What happens when you have to live with the infamy—and fat check—that came from the total destruction of your social life? I also […]

With such a wide variety of genres, I guess you can suspect that I have a lot of setting I place . I am best known for my Harmless Series which is mainly set in Hawaii. So, when I decided to write a contemporary paranormal, I wanted something a little different. Hawaii […]

Blond-ism: The Biased Against Fair-Haired Heroes

First, I want to thank Heather for inviting me over to hang out with you guys. *looks around* Ah, it’s so nice and pretty over here. *tamps down blog template envy* 🙂 Alright, so Heather didn’t give me any guidelines on what to talk about–which is always a dangerous thing to do with someone who writes erotic romance. So I thought, how about a post that requires pictures of hot men? You with me? Okay, good. 🙂 I read a lot–mostly romance (all subgenres) and some YA–and I’ve started noticing a pattern. We always hear the cliche “tall, dark, and […]
