Veronica Matthews hates her psychic-medium “gift”—being able to communicate with ghosts and dying people. All it’s ever brought her is pain and grief. When her neighbor Hunter Anderson, an ER doctor, realizes her talent, he begs her to help get rid of the ghost that’s been haunting him for two years and endangering his job. She’s torn. Her need to help the attractive man who saves peoples’ lives wars with her guilt over not being able to lead police to crime victims before they’re dead. Spotlight On: Nancy Holzner

I love Spotlight On weeks, it gives me a chance to really get to know some authors and ask the questions to the things that I really want to know about. Today, we welcome Nancy Holzner. I read Deadtown right after Christmas when Nancy and I both participated in BookObsessed’s Zombie New Year’s Eve Bash and the holiday week leading up to it. I really enjoyed reading Deadtown. The story includes some unexpected twists and turns as well as embracing some higher fantasy elements and mythology within the modern setting. If you have not read Deadtown, you should check it […]

Lisa Pietsch, author of the fabulous A Path to Freedom, serves as guest host as the spotlight shines behind the scenes on blog creator and author Heather Long. I first met Heather Long when we were both hired to write blogs at Families.com back in December 2005. I’m proud to call her a good friend of mine, although I’ve never laid eyes on her, and I’ll let you in on a little secret: I’ve been a huge fan of Heather’s since the moment we met. I started […]
