Lucky 13 Trick-or-Treat Blog Hop: My Favorite Halloween Memory

I love autumn. Seriously, I do. Trick-or-treating is also one of those activities that I adored as a child for the fun of dressing up, racing through the dark with my friends, gathering candy and treats and then taking them home to be sorted. When I was a teen, I continued the tradition of dressing up so I could chaperone children I used to babysit for their trick or treating and yes, I scored candy, too. As an adult, I didn’t get to trick or treat as often, but I still did the dressing up because it was fun. When […]

Sunday Snips and Clips: Fences, Fairies and Wildlife Funds

It’s Sunday again and what a brutal way to kick it off. A few minutes before midnight, a car crashed through our fence into the backyard. We heard the smash and bang, but the car pulled out and drove away before we made it outside. We were up till 1:30 in the morning with the police who are investigating it and looking for the culprit. Trick or Treat: Five Great Halloween Episodes

I love Halloween. It is my second favorite holiday of the year. I love it for a variety of reasons for the dressing up in costumes to the pranks to the decorating of jack-o’-lanterns to candy corn and trick or treaters coming to your door. I love Halloween. I love the holiday of Samhain and the roots of pagan traditions and I love the modern secular holiday too. It’s the turning of the wheel, the cooling off of the year and the marking of the final harvest. It’s the last hoorah before the winter months set in and we begin […]

Sunday Snips and Clips: Trick or Treat Grab Bag

Can it really be Sunday again? Sorry for the lateness of the Snips and Clips. I spent most of the weekend finishing up the next round of edits on Prime Evil and every time I thought I was done I found more. I believe it’s a stronger, better, faster, six million dollar story now, but I am worn out. Why was it so hard? Because I have the sequel to Remembering Ashby would not shut up while I was trying to do P.E. edits. I’ve been jotting down notes all weekend. I have most of the first act completely mapped […]

Trick or Treat: The Lustful Rider

As part of our All Hallows celebration this month, you’ll enjoy our trick or treat features such as today’s special poem: The Lustful Rider with a thousand apologies to Mr. Longfellow. The Lustful Rider is the tale of one of four horsemen that will make an appearance in our trick or treat features this month. I’ll warn you ahead of time, this is definitely a bit of a raunchy poem, so don’t click on the jump unless your over eighteen and don’t mind a bit of twisted fun with a classic poem. The Lustful Rider Listen my readers and you […]
