I’ve never read a Rosemary Clement-Moore book that I didn’t love. A couple of years ago, The Splendor Falls was my favorite novel of the year and Texas Gothic is damn near as good as that book, though I admit to a personal bias for the tale in Splendor Falls, Amy Goodnight and Texas Gothic offer a rich, fascinating tale that I couldn’t put down. My only quibble…I have to wait for another book from this fabulous author.
Amy Goodnight’s family is far from normal. She comes from a line of witches, but tries her best to stay far outside the family business. Her summer gig? Ranch-sitting for her aunt with her wacky but beautiful sister. Only the Goodnight Ranch is even less normal than it normally is. Bodies are being discovered, a ghost is on the prowl, and everywhere she turns, the hot neighbor cowboy is in her face.
