Can You Survive the Twists? Don’t Let Go Delivers the Action!
September 26, 2024
As I mentioned in the first book this duet was nowhere on my writing schedule one day, it was just there, whispering in my ear. I could hear the characters coming to life.
Not only were they “talking” to me, they wouldn’t shut up. I had to start writing as soon as possible so I could also work on other things. What the muse wants, sometimes, you have to let the muse get. This book demanded to be written. I was grateful that Don’t Let Go waited a bit patiently for me, but between traveling, and other deadlines, they went a little mute. I guess they needed more attention than I was giving.
It’s fine, Patch and I had a word, and I told them what she tells everyone else: Talk to Me. What I have loved about this series from the beginning, is they walked in fully-formed, bad habits, histories, attitudes, and more just right there. They didn’t spend a lot of time on their backstories. They were who they were and that was who we were getting.
In Talk to Me, we learned that for five years, Patch existed in a carefully curated bubble, never leaving her home and only interacting online. As an operator, Patch worked with other contractors, her clients. The three main clients are Michael Remington, a British assassin, John McQuade, a rough and tumble former military man turned mercenary, and Justus Locke, a suave, international thief.
The three are as different as can be, but when Patch suddenly stops taking calls all three go to find her. It will take all of them to survive the twists, turns, and trials facing them.
Be sure to check each book for the trigger warnings, they are always listed in the forewords! When you finish, be sure to join my reader group over on Facebook! We’d love to hear what you think!
